The Washington Wizards basketball team started out in Chicago in the early 1960’s and went through several moves to become the Washington Wizards in 1995. During the 204-2005 NBA season the Wizards set a new winning record and for the first time playing as the Washington Wizards the team went to the playoffs. Leading the way to the playoffs was the magic trio of Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Larry Hughes scored the highest in the NBA, earning them the nickname "The Big Three." Arenas and Jamison both were chosen to play on the 2005 Eastern Conference All-Star team, which was the first time Washington had two players in the All-Star game.
