Kids birthday parties can be expensive. Parents who don’t have a lot of money can end up going into a lot of debt trying to give their kid a great basketball themed party but they don’t to. To save money on tablecloths, cups, and plates buy plain white tablecloths, cups and plates and then search on the Internet for some free basketball clipart. Save the clipart that is appropriate for the party, and then print the free basketball clipart onto specially designed clear sticker paper that is available at any office supply store or craft store. Print out the designs, carefully cut around the designs and then stick them on the white tablecloths, cups and plates. Download some larger free basketball clip art images and print them out to hang up as decorations. Use free basketball clip art to decorate a plain white invitation or make invitations just using free basketball themed clipart. The ideas for decorating using free downloadable clipart are endless, and can save parents a lot of money on decorations. To get a great cake that the child will love, find a great free clipart image and print it out. Take that to the bakery and have them make a cake that looks like the clipart. The child will love the basketball themed cake that the parents can afford because they saved so much money on decorations.

Party Favors

Combine party favors with a great activity. Go the craft store and buy some picture mats in different sizes. Picture mats come in standard photo sizes, so get some white picture mats or even colored picture mats, in the team colors of the child’s favorite team. Use that clear sticker paper to print up tons of different free basketball themed clip art images, including some of the logo and players on the child’s favorite basketball team. Cut out all the stickers ahead of time to make sure they are cut out properly and so that the children at the party don’t have to handle scissors. Let the children choose a mat and grab some stickers and make their own basketball picture frames using the basketball clip art stickers. It’s a great party favor and it will keep the kids busy during the party. To make the party more festive make popcorn as a snack and use some food coloring to dye the popcorn in the team colors of the birthday child’s favorite basketball team.
